EDUFOKAM LIBERIA EduFokam

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This explains what information EduFokam collects when a school registers and uses the platform, why it's collected, and how it's handled. Because EduFokam covers Grades 4–12, some of this data belongs to minors — that's treated with particular care throughout.

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to everyone who interacts with a school's EduFokam account: the school itself, its principal, teachers, students, and guardians.

2. What we collect

3. Why we collect it

To run the platform's actual purpose: giving a student one continuous attendance/marks/homework record across grades, giving each role (principal, teacher, student, guardian) the view relevant to them, verifying a school's subscription payment, and keeping the platform secure against misuse. We don't use student, guardian, or teacher data for advertising, and we don't sell it.

4. Who can see what

Access is role-based, not open by default:

5. How data is protected

Login sessions, forms, and file uploads run through standard protections against common web attacks (session security, CSRF protection, rate limiting on sensitive actions, and file scanning on uploads). No system is perfectly secure, but these protections are applied consistently across the platform, not just on some pages.

6. Data retention

If a school's subscription lapses or is suspended, its data is preserved, not deleted — access is simply paused until the school renews. Data is not routinely deleted; a school that wants records removed can request that through the contact page.

7. Third parties involved

8. Children's data

Because most students on EduFokam are minors, student accounts and records are created and managed by the school (principal/teachers), not signed up independently by children. Guardians are given their own accounts specifically so a parent or guardian — not just the school — has visibility into a child's record. Schools are expected to obtain any consent required under their own policies before entering a student's information.

9. Your rights

A principal can request corrections to their school's data, and any user can request a copy of, or the deletion of, their own personal information, subject to the school's own record-keeping obligations (for example, a school may need to retain a graduated student's academic history). Requests can be sent through the contact page.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the platform changes. Continued use of EduFokam after an update means the updated policy applies. Material changes will be noted with an updated "last updated" date above.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, can be sent through the contact page.
