EDUFOKAM LIBERIA EduFokam
About EduFokam

A student's record shouldn't depend on which notebook survived the term.

EduFokam is a school management platform built for schools in Liberia, covering Grades 4 through 12.

Why we built this

Attendance registers, mark sheets, and homework logs in most schools still live on paper — one notebook per class, one binder per term. It works, until a register goes missing, a mark gets mistranscribed between a teacher's notebook and the report card, or a student transfers grades and their history doesn't travel with them. None of that is any one person's fault; it's what happens when a school's entire record depends on physical paper surviving a school year intact.

EduFokam exists to fix that specific problem — not to digitize everything a school does, just the three records that cause the most trouble when they're lost: attendance, marksheets, and homework.

What we do

Every student gets one continuous record that follows them from Grade 4 through graduation, instead of being re-entered into a new spreadsheet each September. Teachers mark attendance and grade homework from a phone or a shared computer. Marks roll up into semester and yearly averages and class rank automatically, computed the same way for every student. Principals see their whole school; guardians see their own child's record — nothing more, nothing less. It's built to keep working through the patchy connectivity that's a normal part of how many Liberian schools actually get online, not just how a demo looks on fast wifi.

Who it's for

EduFokam is built for schools, not individual teachers or students signing up on their own. A school's principal registers the school, and every teacher, student, and guardian account is created under that school from there. Each school's data is kept separate from every other school on the platform — nothing is shared or visible across schools.

How we work

We're a small, distributed team — building and supporting EduFokam from Kigali, Monrovia, and Malaysia. That's meant staying close to how schools actually use this day to day, rather than guessing from a distance. Meet the team →
